Services Available to Departments
The following services are made available to departments in the College of Arts and Sciences. Note that some services are restricted to departments specifically supported by OASIS. If you have a question about any of these services please contact OASIS.

"Sandbox" Training Space
- The "Sandbox" is a training room located in Howell 05 dedicated to raising the collective technical skill level of the faculty and staff across the college through group and individual training and workshops. It is outfitted with 12 computers with both Windows and Mac operating systems on them, as well as a fantastic whiteboard and projector.

Active Directory Management
- Active Directory is a directory service developed by Microsoft in order to deliver a directory-based architecture for domain resources such as authentication, security, management, and client resources. AD provides a central, replicated, and secure database of said resources in order to deliver a robust and comprehensive solution to the demands of Information Technology.

Annual Report
- The Annual Report System is a web application used by faculty, chairs, and recipients of private funding in the College of Arts and Sciences to report on their activities during the previous academic year.

Citrix
- OASIS provides web accessible applications. This service allows users in the College to run certain software titles without the need to install them locally.

Common Authorization Tool

iTunesU
- Thanks to the initiative and help of Doug Edmunds and Brian Payst, OASIS has become fully vested in the iTunesU initiative at UNC.

Nonpersonnel
- The NonPersonnel Funding Request System allows College of Arts and Sciences Departments to submit funding requests to the Dean's Office for non-personnel expenses.

Software Development
- OASIS provides full life cycle software development services to the College. Generally applications developed internally are prioritized by their impact to the College in terms of the departments, faculty, administrators and students who would benefit from an application.

Staffing Workload
- The Staffing Workload System is a Web-based application designed to track the workload of instructors of record within the departments of the UNC-CH College of Arts and Sciences.

Surplus Program
- OASIS provides a College-wide surplus program for computers and laptops.

- We offer complete content management web solutions to departments, centers, and programs in the College of Arts and Sciences.
