About the Presenters
Jeff VanDrimmelen - University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill- Instructional Technologist
Bio - Jeff VanDrimmelen has a BA from Southern Utah University in German and Music, and MA in Germanic Literature from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a MBA with an IT management emphasis from Western Governors University. He has taught at the high school and collegiate level. He currently works as an Instructional Technologist teaching teachers about technology and helping them effectively use it in their classroom curriculum.
In conjunction with his current position he has taught numerous instructional technology seminars on a range of topic including Web 2.0 teaching and technology tools, haptic devices, content management systems, language acquisition tools, web design, and technology time management tools.
Zachary Fisher - University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill- Instructional Technologist
Bio - Zachary Fisher has a BS in History and an MAT in Secondary Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He spent three years teaching math to sixth graders before working for Apple Computer as an instructional trainer and consultant. His current role as an Instructional Technologist allows him to discover the latest and greatest instructional advancements and teach faculty and staff how to benefit from them.
His recent projects have included spearheading an electronic testing initiative at the University and assisting in developing a scalable classroom capture infrastructure. He is also currently involved in designing a dual-boot lab environment for the College.
