The Enterprise Solutions group works other groups in the College to develop and support innovative new software solutions to various problems they are facing. In addition to developing new software.  The group also works on projects that integrate with existing commercial products to extend their functionality. Advising: Academic Appeals Form

This online appeals process (AAF) is for students with majors in the College of Arts & Sciences. If you have been accepted to a professional school, please contact your professional school’s advisors or administrative office to discuss their appeals process.

Advising: Dropins

The Dropins (formerly “walkins”) application is designed to allow students to checkin upon arrival for an advising appointment or to enter a drop-in queue during designated times.


Advising: Get Ready to Register

The Get Ready to Register (ADVGRR) application is a survey interest form for incoming undergraduates which helps to facilitate students’ first term registration.

Advising: Scheduler

The Advising Scheduler is a Web-based application designed to allow students to make appointments with advisors most appropriate for their schedule and advising needs.

BeAM: Registration

The BeAM Registration application is a multipurpose tool handling registration at the BeAM site kiosks as well as training and attestation tracking.

Center for Student Success Appointment System

This multi-tenanted application facilitates interactions between students and staff in the Center for Student Success. It currently supports: The Writing Center, the Learning Center, Academic Coaching, Summer Bridge, MAP/Covenant/CSTEP Mentoring, Transfer Student Support and Lookout Scholars.

College Annual Report

The College Annual Report has, in one version or another, been continuously active since 2000. The application has grown to encompass faculty, chair, departmental, Foundation and Dean’s Office reporting.

Commitments Management

The Commitments Management app is a java/swing tool served from Citrix for a small set of users in the College Business Operations office. It is used to track and report on various funding commitments that are made by the Dean’s Office to departments in the College. Reporting exists both within the app and via Tableau.


Distribution Group Manager

This system creates and automatically updates distribution groups for each CAS unit as applicable and/or requested for faculty, staff, grads, senior, junior, sophomore, freshman, minors, course_name (major within a unit), and faculty rank. Groups are updated nightly from UNC Directory data.

Exam Excuse Form

The exam excuse system allows students to request exam schedule changes.

Faculty International Expertise

This database enhances and streamlines access to information on the international expertise of faculty at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. It is free of charge and available to faculty, students, and the general public.

Instructional Workload

The Instructional Workload System is a Web-based application designed to track the workload of instructors of record within the departments of the UNC-CH College of Arts and Sciences. The system enables Department Managers in the College to review, update, and submit essential data on behalf of the Dean’s Office.

Online Learning Contract Management

This online tool is used to manage the submission and approval process for undergraduate independent study learning contracts. The online form includes the same elements as the independent study learning contract paper forms.

Online Syllabus Management

Faculty members listed as a Primary Instructor in Connect Carolina for undergraduate class section(s) offered in Summer Session II 2015 or later undergraduate class section(s) offered Summer Session II 2015 or later, or graduate courses offered Fall 2016 or later are granted access to upload and/or view syllabi for their course sections.

Sources Management

The Sources Management application allows appropriately permissions staff in the College to manage various aspects of their units’ finances specifically as it relates to sources, stewardship, professorships and payouts.
